POSITIONS IN A TEAM

Players in the Team

• Team has 6 players on the court. 
• 3 player are front row and 3 of them are back raw players. 
• Team is allowed to used a libero player ( back row players, defensive specialist) who wear different colour shirt.  

Contact  

• Each player is allowed to maximum of three touches before hitting the ball over the net ( exception : block does not count as touch )

One touch ball  

• player can  not hits the ball twice in a row(exception I: block doesn't count a  touch )  
• there is an indoor court and outdoor court    

libero has a different colour jersey and is only allowed to play in the back row.

                       

• Boundary line( without touching the opponent) 
• the ball heat the antenna 
• Any of the net or cables outside the antennas  
• A referee  stand or poles or the ceiling  

Back row Attack:  

Back raw players can not attack the ball front row .If they attack, they have to perform the behind the attack line ( 10 feet line,3 metre line)

IMPORTANT- The ball has to be completely above the net for it to be an illegal attack

Antennas: 

• It  is allowed to  play the ball off the net. It is a fault, if the ball contact  net outside antennas. 
• The ball has to travel between  the antennas( or the imagined extension of them )when flying to the other sides of the net.

Referee

In or Out? 

• Referee calls the ball "IN", If any part of it hits the lines.( imagine the ball is painted .If the ball left  a mark that touches the lines, the ball is judged IN) 

• Ball is ruled out, if 

                          -the ball lands outsides  the boundary lines. 

                             ( without touching the opponent)   

                          -The ball hits the antenna. 

                           -Any of the net or cables outsides the antennas.  

                            -A referee stand or poles or the ceiling

volleyball Rotation -How to call volleyball court position ?

1. first position can be called "RIGHT BACK''  _Setter usually starts the game on the right back position. Setters start from the right back because it allowed having three front row attackers more often p1. 


2. Second position  it called "RIGHT FRONT" _right front  is the attack zone on the middle of the court. This position can be called p2. The right side hitter, opposite or setter plays in position2.


3. Third position it an "MIDDLE FRONT"_ is the position in the attack zone on the middle of the court. This position can be called position P3


4. Forth position can be ''LEFT FRONT"_ is the position in the attack zone on the left side of the court. This position can be called left back position P4. 


5. fifth position "LEFT BACK" _is the position in the defensive zone on the left side of the court. This position can be called left back P5.


6. Sixth position "MIDDLE BACK"_ Is the position in the defensive zone on the middle of the court. This position can be called middle back P6
